Host to Women Synergy Program on 19th February 2005 for Southwest CDC

 As requested by Southwest CDC, we hold the Ladies Synergy Session chaired by DR AMY KHOR LEAN SUAN ( Mayor, South West District ) of Hong Kah GRC. Ms Yvone Lim was invited to share her experience in the capacity of a modern Singapore woman running her own SME business.

Guests presented include several high profile successful women in both the public and private sector. Budget issues were discussed and projections on the allocation of budget for women’s welfare were shared among those present.

 "Every year we do some community service by arranging for old folks to come to our restaurant for dinner. Last year, we had a group of old folks who were immobile and some terminally ill. After finishing their food, I asked the Sister who took care of the old folks, how they found the food. She asked this old lady sitting in her wheelchair perhaps in her 90s, in Cantonese and the old lady smiled and showed two thumbs-up, reached out for my hand and kissed it three times. I was happy and really touched by her gesture." - Yvone
